We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstracts for the Conference of the Guinean Association of Pneumology (AGUIPNEUMO). This conference serves as a unique platform for sharing your research, clinical studies, or experiences in the field of pneumology. Below are the details you need to prepare and submit your abstract.

Submission Guidelines

Abstract Format

  • Language: Abstracts must be written in French only.
  • Length: Maximum 350 words, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations.
  • Required Structure:
    1. Introduction: Provide the context and objectives of your study.
    2. Methods: Briefly describe the methodology used.
    3. Results: Summarize the main results obtained.
    4. Conclusion: Highlight the key conclusions and implications.
  • Title: Concise, descriptive, and directly linked to the abstract content.
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords relevant to your study.
  • Prohibited Elements: Tables, figures, images, or bibliographic references are not allowed.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Abstracts must present original work or studies relevant to the conference theme.
  • Ongoing studies may be accepted if preliminary results are available.
  • All submissions must comply with ethical research standards.

Submission Process

  1. Access the Submission Platform:
    • Submissions must be made exclusively via our online platform by clicking the "Submit an Article" button.
  2. Create an Account:
    • If you do not already have an account, register by following the instructions on the platform.
  3. Complete the Submission Form:
    • Upload your abstract in the required format.
    • Provide the following information:
      • Full names of authors, institutional affiliations, and contact details of the corresponding author.
      • Indicate your preference for an oral presentation or poster presentation (the final decision will be made by the scientific committee).
  4. Confirm Your Submission:
    • Once your submission is complete, you will receive a confirmation email containing your submission number.

Review Process

  • Peer Review:
    Each abstract will be reviewed anonymously by a scientific committee composed of pneumology experts.
  • Evaluation Criteria:
    • Scientific relevance.
    • Clarity of presentation.
    • Methodology and originality of results.
  • Notification:
    Decisions (acceptance, revision, or rejection) will be communicated via email to the corresponding author. Authors of accepted abstracts will receive detailed instructions for preparing their presentations.

Presentation of Accepted Abstracts

  • Presentation Formats:
    • Oral presentations: A 10-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
    • Poster presentations: Displayed on a standard poster board with a dedicated discussion session with participants.
  • Presentation Materials:
    • Slides must be prepared in French (PowerPoint or PDF).
    • Posters must adhere to a maximum size of 90 cm x 120 cm (portrait orientation).
