About the Journal
Aims: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Journal (EDCJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, review articles, communications, and short notes in the fields of epidemiology and disease control. The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of research findings that contribute to the understanding and control of diseases at the population level.
Our main aim is to encourage researchers and public health professionals to publish their theoretical and experimental findings to enhance disease surveillance, prevention, and control strategies.
Scope: The journal covers the following interest areas and sub-areas in epidemiology and disease control:
- Disease surveillance and reporting
- Outbreak investigation and response
- Infectious and non-infectious disease epidemiology
- Environmental and occupational epidemiology
- Chronic disease epidemiology
- Epidemiological methods and research design
- Public health interventions and policy
- Health disparities and social determinants of health
- Global health and disease control
Publication Ethics: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Journal adheres to rigorous peer-review and strict ethical policies in line with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards. Issues such as plagiarism and data falsification are taken very seriously with a zero-tolerance policy. Submissions are checked for originality using iThenticate.
Book Reviews: Authors and publishers are encouraged to send review copies of their recent books to our editorial office. Received books will be listed in the News & Announcements section.
