Platform introduction
Discover Science Journal Hub
Get to know the platform, explore independently edited open-access journals, and find the information you need before reading or submitting research.
A shared platform for independent journals
Science Journal Hub provides hosting and technical publishing infrastructure for peer-reviewed, open-access journals. It supports the online publishing work of academic societies, universities, and research institutes through tools for manuscript submission, editorial workflows, and access to published research.
Each journal has its own identity and scholarly purpose. The platform brings these journals together in one place while their editorial teams maintain their own scope, policies, and publishing priorities.
For readers: discover research and explore journals
Start with the journal directory. Open a journal that matches your interests and consult its aims and scope, editorial team, current issue, and archives. The homepage also highlights recently published articles from across the platform.
When reading an article, consult its publication details and references for context. Before sharing or reusing its content, check the license and any conditions displayed on the article page.
For authors: prepare your submission
Begin by selecting a journal whose scope and accepted article types fit your manuscript. Then use that journal's author guidelines and submission instructions to prepare your work.
- Check the journal's requirements. Review the manuscript format, reference style, language requirements, and any supporting files requested by the editorial team.
- Review the relevant policies. Consult the journal's guidance on authorship, research ethics, competing interests, and supporting data, where applicable.
- Check the publication fee policy. Each journal sets its own policy and collects any applicable fee. Consult the selected journal's information to understand whether charges apply.
- Submit through the selected journal. Follow its submission instructions and provide the information and documents requested. Direct questions about suitability, requirements, or a manuscript under consideration to that journal's editorial team.
Editorial decisions remain with each journal
Science Journal Hub provides the technical platform. Each journal maintains its own editorial board, scope, and policies. Its editors manage manuscript assessment, reviewer selection, revision requests, and publication decisions independently.
Authors should consult their chosen journal for details of its review process and contact its editorial team about decisions or requested revisions. Information about a journal's indexing and archiving arrangements should also be checked on its own website.
For societies, universities, and research institutes
Institutions interested in hosting a journal can visit Partner With Us to learn about the platform's role. Science Journal Hub supports journal hosting and submission and review workflows, while editorial control remains with the journal.
Whether you are looking for research to read or a journal for your manuscript, begin with the directory and explore the information published by each editorial team.
