At ScienceJournalHub, we strive to provide transparent and fair policies regarding Article Processing Charges (APCs). Our refund policy is designed to address various situations in which authors might request a refund after paying the APC.

Refund Eligibility

Withdrawal Before Publication

  • Author-Initiated Withdrawal: If an author withdraws their manuscript after acceptance but before publication, they may be eligible for a partial refund. The amount refunded will depend on the stage of the publication process and any costs incurred by ScienceJournalHub up to that point.
  • Editor-Initiated Withdrawal: If the editorial board withdraws a manuscript after acceptance due to ethical concerns or other significant issues, a partial or full refund may be issued depending on the circumstances.

Post-Publication Withdrawal

  • Once an article has been published online, APCs are non-refundable. Publication costs cover a range of services that have already been provided, including peer review, editing, typesetting, and hosting.

Refund Process

Request Submission

  • How to Apply: Authors seeking a refund must submit a written request to our billing department at refunds@sciencejournalhub.org, providing detailed reasons for the request.
  • Documentation: Authors should include any relevant documentation supporting their request, such as correspondence with editors or proof of payment.

Evaluation

  • Review Period: Refund requests will be reviewed by the billing department and the editorial board. This process typically takes 14-21 business days.
  • Decision Notification: Authors will be notified of the decision via email. If approved, details of the refund amount and process will be provided.

Special Considerations

Technical Issues

  • If payment was made in error (e.g., duplicate payments or incorrect amounts), authors should notify the billing department immediately. Corrections or refunds will be processed promptly once verified.

Fee Waivers and Discounts

  • Refunds will not be provided for APCs that were waived or discounted. Authors who received financial support or fee waivers are not eligible for refunds.

Appeals

  • If an author is dissatisfied with the outcome of a refund request, they may submit an appeal. Appeals should be directed to appeals@sciencejournalhub.org, including any additional information or context that may support the appeal. Appeals will be reviewed by a senior member of the editorial board, and a final decision will be made.

Final Notes
