Policies and Publication Ethics
Open Access and Copyright
All articles published in ScienceJournalHub are open access under the Creative Commons CC-BY license (version 4.0). This means that authors retain the copyright, while the content is freely available for download, distribution, and adaptation for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given to the original work.
Upon submission, authors grant ScienceJournalHub a license to publish, display, store, copy, and reuse the content. The CC-BY license allows anyone to use the publication freely, given appropriate attribution to the authors and citing ScienceJournalHub as the original publisher. This license does not apply to third-party materials with copyright notices prohibiting copying unless they are also under a CC-BY or an equally permissive license.
Registration with ScienceJournalHub
All corresponding and submitting authors must register with ScienceJournalHub before submitting an article. Authors must be logged in to their personal accounts to submit an article. Co-authors who wish to link their names to a profile should register before the final publication.
Authorship and Author Responsibilities
ScienceJournalHub's authorship policy ensures that all contributors are appropriately credited for their involvement and take responsibility for the final published material.
Named Authorship: Authors must meet the following criteria based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines to qualify for authorship:
- Substantial contributions to data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.
- Drafting or critically revising the work for significant intellectual content.
- Approval for publication of the content.
- Accountability for all aspects of the work, ensuring questions related to accuracy or integrity are investigated and resolved.
Contributors who do not meet these criteria but made significant contributions should be acknowledged. Authors must obtain written approval from individuals named in the acknowledgments.
Author Contribution: Authors are required to specify each co-author's contributions using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), which includes roles such as Conceptualization, Data Curation, Formal Analysis, and more. Authors’ contributions will be automatically generated during submission.
Corresponding Authors: The corresponding author handles communication with the journal during submission, peer review, and publication. They ensure the submission adheres to journal requirements, including authorship details, study ethics, ethics approval, clinical trial registration, and conflict of interest declaration. They also respond to post-publication queries.
Changes in Authorship: Changes to the authorship list after submission are considered only in exceptional circumstances and must adhere to ScienceJournalHub's authorship policy. Requests for changes must be submitted using the authorship change request form and will be denied post-acceptance except in exceptional cases.
Research Integrity
Original Content: ScienceJournalHub publishes only original content. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere. If an article has been previously submitted elsewhere, it must be definitively rejected by the other publisher(s) before submission to ScienceJournalHub.
Fabrication and Falsification: Fabrication and falsification of data or images are strictly prohibited. Manuscripts from commercial entities or "paper mills" are not considered.
Redundant Publication: Submitting similar articles based on the same experiment or study is unethical.
Plagiarism: ScienceJournalHub screens all manuscripts for textual overlap using CrossCheck powered by iThenticate. Manuscripts with textual overlap are not considered. Authors must ensure original wording from other publications is quoted with appropriate citations.
Theses and Dissertations: Content from theses or dissertations can be included if it is the only form in which it has appeared and is in line with the author's university policy. It should be noted in the acknowledgments and cited in the references.
Conferences, Proceedings, and Abstracts: Conference papers must be expanded with new material or treatment of old data sets to be considered original. Authors must seek permission for reuse of conference papers and cite them appropriately.
Blogs: Content that previously appeared in non-academic media must be declared in the acknowledgments section.
Preprints: ScienceJournalHub supports sharing work ahead of submission on repositories or preprint servers, provided the server imposes no restrictions on the author's full copyright and re-use rights. Correct attribution of the original source is required, and linking to the final publication is encouraged.
Translations: Translations of previously published work are accepted with permission from the original publisher and authors. The original work must be clearly referenced.
Name Change Policy: Authors can request name or pronoun changes by completing a name change request form. The request can be silent or via a Corrigendum.
Corrections: ScienceJournalHub corrects scientifically relevant errors in published articles. Corrections can be submitted for misleading portions, figure errors, mislabeled figures, or incorrect author lists.
Retractions: ScienceJournalHub abides by COPE guidelines for retractions, which are considered when findings are unreliable, previously published without proper attribution, involve major plagiarism, or report unethical research.
Ethical Concerns
For any ethical concerns, contact research.integrity@sciencejournalhub.org.
Territorial Descriptions, Maps, and Affiliations
ScienceJournalHub remains neutral regarding published territorial descriptions, maps, and author affiliations. All territorial claims are solely those of the authors.
Editorial Policies
Conflicts of Interest: Authors and editorial board members must disclose any actual and potential conflicts of interest at submission or upon accepting an editorial or review assignment. Failure to declare conflicts can result in manuscript rejection or post-publication actions.
Research Ethics: All research must be conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines. Manuscripts can be rejected if editors believe ethical standards are not upheld.
Studies Involving Animals and Humans: Studies must have ethics committee approval and informed consent from participants. Ethics approval information must be provided during submission.
Materials and Data Policies
ScienceJournalHub promotes open science and data transparency. Authors must make all data relevant to their findings available in recognized repositories. Data citation guidelines should be followed.
Data Availability Statements: Statements detailing the location of raw data and its availability are required. Manuscripts with incomplete or incorrect statements will not enter the review process.
