Plagiarism policy

The International African Review of Multidisciplinary Sciences (IARMS) is firmly committed to academic and scientific integrity. We expect all our authors to ensure their work is original and adheres to ethical research standards. Any form of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, is unacceptable and will result in severe consequences.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as the unauthorized use or reproduction of ideas, data, text, graphics, or any other form of intellectual work without proper attribution to the original source. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct or partial copying of published or unpublished text without proper citation.
  • Adopting someone else’s ideas or results without appropriate acknowledgment.
  • Excessive paraphrasing of existing content without crediting the source.

2. Detection Procedure

All manuscripts submitted to IARMS are systematically checked using specialized plagiarism detection software. These tools compare the submitted content with a vast database of published articles, academic documents, and online resources to identify any unjustified similarities.

3. Consequences of Plagiarism

In cases of confirmed plagiarism, the journal reserves the right to:

  • Immediately reject the manuscript during the review process.
  • Retract any published article and issue a retraction notice.
  • Ban the author from submitting future work to IARMS.
  • Inform the relevant research institutions for further disciplinary actions.

4. Author Responsibilities

Each author is responsible for ensuring that their work is free from any form of plagiarism. Authors must:

  • Provide complete and accurate citations for any borrowed content.
  • Adhere to the citation standards in their field.
  • Guarantee the originality of their contribution and transparently acknowledge the contributions of others.

5. Appeals and Disputes

In the event of a plagiarism accusation, the concerned author may provide a detailed explanation and evidence demonstrating the originality of their work. The journal will carefully review any disputes before making a final decision.

6. Revisions and Updates

This policy may be revised and updated periodically to reflect evolving academic practices and advancements in plagiarism detection technology.

By submitting a manuscript to IARMS, authors agree to comply with this plagiarism policy and acknowledge the importance of preserving scientific research integrity.
